Just inside the old stone fence/wall of the Canadian Parliament. You can walk the entire grounds of the parliament grounds, right up to the walls of the Parliament buildings. I can't imagine doing that in many other countries but Canada. In the background, you the green copper roof belongs to the east wing of the Parliament, while the two spires to the right of the green roof belong to the Chateau Laurier (which is a few hundred meters away, just on the other side of the Rideau Canal. This image was inspired by The Long Green Lane, which I was thinking of as I snapped this photo...
