The Niagara region has many creeks, all named for their distance from the USA boarder at the point where they enter Lake Ontario. As the name suggests, this is Twelve Mile Creek, a fairly slow moving meandering creek, as it leaves Short Hills Park. Directly behind me, across the road, in the creek is the Twelve Mile Creek hydrologcial station; an automated monitoring system that tracks the stream discharge and velocity through the year.
I just liked the splash of red on the trees to the right of this shot...
